About Us
Kombolcha Steel Products Industry (KOSPI), a member of the Midroc Investment Group, was established in February 2000 with an initial capital of Birr 76 million, now grown to Birr 720 million.
KOSPI operates two plants — one in Kombolcha, Amhara Region, and another in Gelan, Oromia Region. The Kombolcha plant, established on approximately 60,000 m², produces corrugated and ribbed sheets for roofing, wall cladding, and fencing, together with a wide range of wire products.
These products include nails, screws, binding wires, chain-link, barbed wires, galvanized gabion wires, and various fabricated engineered products. The Gelan plant, covering approximately 25,000 m², focuses mainly on fabricated engineered products and selected standard products similar to those manufactured at Kombolcha. The plant also introduced roof tiles in 2014.
KOSPI is equipped with advanced technology and skilled professionals, including engineers who design, manufacture, and install a wide range of structures such as pre-engineered buildings, stadium and fuel-station canopies, transmission and communication towers, tanks, smart poles, and guard rails.
Over the years, the company has received multiple awards and recognitions from government institutions, customers, and business partners. KOSPI holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.

Hot-Dip Galvanization Service
KOSPI operates a hot-dip galvanization facility, serving both in-house fabrication works and external clients.
The facility provides protective galvanization services designed to improve the durability and corrosion resistance of steel products and structures.

Roofing Nails
Available in lengths from 25 mm to 100 mm, manufactured according to the Ethiopian Standard (CES-33).
Galvanized Binding Wire
Available in black or galvanized form with diameters ranging from 0.8 mm to 4.5 mm.
Black Binding Wire
Binding wire manufactured in black or galvanized form with diameters ranging from 0.8 mm to 4.5 mm.
Gabion Box & Mesh
Gabion boxes, gabion mesh and gabion mattresses with mesh wire diameters of 2.5–2.7 mm and border/selvedge wire of 3.0–4.0 mm.

Electro-galvanized barbed wire with standard diameters of 2.00 mm, 2.24 mm and 2.50 mm, manufactured according to Ethiopian Standard CES-75.
Chain-Link
Hexagonal wire netting with wire diameters from 2.0–3.5 mm and mesh pitch ranging from 39 mm (25 × 25 mm) to 142 mm (100 × 100 mm).
J-Bolts
Assembly consisting of a 6 mm metric bolt, plastic washer, metallic washer and nut.

Available in standard thicknesses of 0.20 mm, 0.25 mm, 0.32 mm and 0.40 mm, with lengths up to 3.66 m.
Manufactured according to the latest Compulsory Ethiopian Standard (CES-40).Ribbed Steel Sheets
Available in galvanized or colored finishes, with thicknesses ranging from 0.3 to 0.8 mm, lengths from 1 to 12 m, and configurations of 3, 5 and 6 ribs.
Pre-Coated Roof Tiles
Pre-coated roof tiles available in 0.4 mm thickness and lengths ranging from 1 m up to 12 m.
